Also our product has been tested for the requirement of ISO 10993 (Biological evaluation of medical devices).

Back cut ground, siliconised, beveled, stainless steel needle is used for smooth and painless puncture. Catheter tip profile of each & every piece is checked on a very large magnification. It makes mediplus products painless.

I.V. Cannula is for short term use. It is recommended to use it for maximum of 72 hours.

1 way I.V. Cannula (Pluscan Alpha) has only single way for the infusion while injection port with non-return is provided for additional medication during infusion in 2 way I.V. Cannula (Plusflon).

P.T.F.E.:
Poly Tetra Fluro Ethylene is one of the most biocompatible materials known to a man which eliminate chances of Thrombophlebitis. As PTFE has the lowest coefficient of friction; I.V. Cannula reduces the chances of sticking to vascular walls. The PTFE catheter, designed and made double tapered with a formed tip. The process of siliconization, offers lower resistance during insertion, resulting in less truma to the patient and it avoid peel back effect. It is nearly a universal chemical resistance which reduces the chances of thrombogenecity. It is high stable upto 250°C and physio logically inert. PTFE is contaminant free and non-inflammable.

F.E.P.:
FEP is thermo plastically moldable (Injection moulded temp. 320°C to 360°C) extruded (at 350°C to 410°C) is translucent, flexible. FEP feels heavy because of its high density. Kink resistance FEP – catheter has extremely smooth inner & outer surfaces to ensure minimum trauma and smooth flow.
